Froggy Went a Courtin'

Did you know the song Frog Went a'Courtin' is over 400 years old??? It made its way to North America with Scottish immigrants, and then over the centuries continued its way through generations with added melody and verses. The classic book I read is by John Langstaff and Feodor Rojankovsky. If you have a kiddo who loves to rhyme, this is a fun song to add new home-made verses to.

A fun little frog-song intro comes first in honor of Orcas Island's chorus frogs -- those spring peepers have been making a racket as of late. With older kids, this song can be sung as a round.
